Record transactions with useful context
Capture the amount, account, category, date, and evidence needed later.
Start with the transaction type
Choose income or expense first so the available categories and reporting behavior match the record.
Confirm account and currency
Select the account that actually received or paid the amount. Enter the original currency when it differs from the workspace reporting currency.
Add meaningful context
Use a recognizable title, category, date, and optional client, vendor, project, location, or note when those details will help future review.
Attach evidence selectively
Attach receipts or supporting files when they are needed for reimbursement, tax, warranty, or audit purposes. Avoid including unrelated personal information.
Review before saving
Check the sign of the amount, date, currency, and account. A short review prevents most balance and report problems.
Correct mistakes transparently
Edit or remove an incorrect record only after confirming which reports, reminders, or linked workflows may rely on it.
